medcom.id, Jakarta: According to Bloomberg data, rupiah opened at Rp13,520 per United States (US) dollar on Friday (2/19/2016), lower than its previous position at 13,502/USD.
Rupiah then fell 37 points or 0.27 ppercent to Rp13,539/USD. The currency moved between Rp13,507-Rp13,557/USD this morning.
Meanwhile, Yahoo Finance showed rupiah opened at Rp13,535/USD. Rupiah then dropped 20 points or 0.15 percent to Rp13,550/USD.
Samuel Sekuritas analyst Rangga Cipta predicts rupiah would continue to weaken today. "Dollar would continue to strengthen due to improving economic data," he said.
"In the other side, oil price only slightly decreased to USD34 per barrel," he continued.
