medcom.id, Jakarta: Rupiah strengthened today after it briefly weakened in the morning. The currency breached Rp13,800/USD level.
Quoting Bloomberg, Tuesday (1/19/2016) rupiah was at Rp13,852/USD. Menwhile, Yahoo Finance showed the currency at Rp13,850. Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (Jisdor) recorded the curreny at Rp13,921.
The rse of Rupiah was in line with Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) that slightly strengthened today.
JCI on Tuesday (1/19/2016) afternoon increaased 10.46 points or 0.2 percent to 4,491. Meanwhile, LQ45 rose 6.21 points to 782 and JII rose 4.9 points to 592.
Most sector were in the green zone led by agriculture sector.
Transaction volume today reached 2.27 billion shares worth Rp2.71 trillion. 139 stocks increased, 118 stocks decreased and 98 stocks unchanged.
