medcom.id, Jakarta: Rupiah strengthened against United States (US) dollar compared to last week.
According to Bloomberg, Monday (12/28/2015) rupiah was recorded at Rp13,624/USD in today's opening. Last week, rupiah was recorded at Rp13,631.
The currency then increased 12.5 points or 0.09 percent to Rp13,619. It was recrorded moved between Rp13,600-Rp13,632 in the morning.
Meanwhile according Yahoo Finance, Rupiah strengthened five points or 0.04 percent to Rp13,620 this morning.
NH Korindo Securities Indonesia's Head of Research Reza Priyambada analyzed rising crude oil price pushes US dollar down. Other factors also could influence rupiah's positive performance.
