medcom.id, Jakarta: President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo visited the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) building in SCBD Senayan, South Jakarta on Tuesday, July 4, 2017.
The former Jakarta governor met with a number of BEI officials. He addressed a wide range of economic issues.
"The stock exchange must benefit the public," Jokowi said.
The PDIP politician urged foreign mining and palm oil companies to join the local stock exchange. He encouraged foreign mining and palm oil companies to help the local economy.
"Most of them are listed in Hong Kong, Singapore and New York," Jokowi said.
