Impian Josh Groban pun terwujud. Album yang berjudul "Stages" tersebut akan diluncurkan 24 April nanti.
Josh akan menyanyikan lagu-lagu dari pertunjukan teater populer seperti "Les Miserables", "Sunday in the Park with George", "A Chorus Line", "Sweeney Todd", dan "The Fantasticks".
Yang tak terduga, Josh berduet dengan Kelly Clarkson di "All I Ask From You" dari "Phantom of the Opera". Dan kolaborasinya bersama Audra MacDonald pada "If I Loved You" dari "Carousel".
"Stages" juga menampilkan peniup trumpet tersohor Chris Botti pada "Ole Devil Moon" dari "Finian's Rainbow".
Rencananya, Josh akan menggelar tur untuk mempromosikan album ini.
"'Stages' adalah album yang ingin kubuat ketika aku menandatangani kontrak (dengan perusahaan rekaman) di tahun pertamaku sebagai mahasiswa teater musikal di Carnegie Mellon," kenang Josh. "Terbersit dalam hatiku, pada suatu saat, aku akan menyanyikan lagu-lagu yang aku sukai dari dunia itu (teater) dalam sebuah album."
