Indonesian Coronavirus Patient in Singapore is in Stable Condition

Singapore: The Indonesian citizen (WNI) infected with the novel coronavirus in Singapore, is still undergoing treatment. The person is known to have no history of traveling to China.
 
The 44-year-old Indonesian citizen works as a household assistant. The WNI is known to be exposed to the novel coronavirus from her employer.
 
"The Indonesian citizen is currently being handled by the Singapore General Hospital medical team. The WNI was treated in isolation and is in a stable condition, "said the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore, in a written statement received by Medcom.id on Friday, January 7, 2020.

"The Indonesian Embassy continues to communicate and coordinate with all relevant authorities, including hospital officials and the Singapore Ministry of Health," the statement added.
 
As of February 5, 2020, there were 385 people suspected of having a coronavirus in Singapore. Meanwhile, there are 28 confirmed coronavirus cases.
 
The Indonesian Embassy also appealed to all Indonesian citizens residing in Singapore to remain vigilant, maintain health and hygiene, and heed the notice given by the Government of Singapore through the official line of the Ministry of Health https://www.moh.gov.sg/2019-ncov-wuhan. Until now the death toll from the coronavirus outbreak has reached 635 people. While 1,487 other people recovered from the disease. The infected victims worldwide reached 31,440 people.
