The Indonesian official said that Indonesia is committed to adressing climate change and ocean issues. He also underlined Indonesia's commitment in contributing to the development in the region.
During the forum, Indonesia supported the Kainaki II Declaration for Urgent Climate Change Action and the planned 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific Continent. In addition, Indonesia also expressed its readiness to provide support in this collective effort through capacity building and technical assistance.

At the sidelines of the forum, the director general met with foreign ministers of several PIF member countries. Besides discussing about bilateral relations, he also invited them to attend the upcoming Bali Democracy Forum (BDF).
"Director General Desra Percaya conducted bilateral meetings with Foreign Ministers of Tuvalu and Solomon Islands to deepen bilateral relations and to invite them to Bali Democracy Forum 5-6 December 2019," the Foreign Ministry said on its official twitter account this afternoon.
The member countries of the regional organization are Australia, Cook Islands, Fiji, French Polynesia, New Caledonia, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Niue, Micronesia, Palau, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, Tongaa and Vanuatu.
