Indonesia Committed to Continually Supporting Palestinians

Jakarta: The Indonesian government and people remain committed to extending continued support to Palestine despite the covid-19 pandemic, according to the Indonesian Embassy in Jordan.
Two non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Indonesia -- Sahabat Palestina Memanggil and Nusantara Palestina Centre -- in cooperation with the Indonesian Embassy have raised funds and disbursed relief aid among Palestinian refugees settled in Jordan.
The humanitarian activity was targeted at reducing the social and economic burden on the refugees in the wake of the covid-19 pandemic.

The Indonesian NGOs and Embassy in Amman, in collaboration with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), distributed some 600 basic need packages among Palestinian refugees at the Talbiyah camp in Jordan.
Indonesian Ambassador to Jordan and Palestine Andy Rachmianto also partook in distributing the aid among the Palestinian refugees.
Despite several Indonesians also seeking assistance owing to the covid-19 pandemic, the Indonesian community members has always been heedful of the needs of their brothers in Palestine.
"This proves that Indonesia is always standing beside Palestine regardless of the situation, including during the covid-19 pandemic," Ambassador Rachmianto remarked.
The Indonesian community's unwavering attention to Palestine is testament to Indonesia's commitment and support to the Palestinian people's struggle for an independent state, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The covid-19 pandemic has engulfed all countries and territories, including Palestine occupied by Israel, both the West Bank and Gaza Strip. (antara)
