Manila: 1,200 Indonesian athletes and officials are currently competing in the SEA Games in the Philippines. However, due to Typhoon Kammuri, some of the matches were suspended.
The Indonesian Embassy in Manila's Social and Cultural Information Officer, Agus Buana, said that there were no Indonesian citizens or athletes affected.
"Thank God so far there have been no reports of Indonesian citizens or our athletes affected by the typhoon," Agus told Medcom.id on Wednesday 4 December 2019.
Agus said that at this time the situation in Manila had returned to normal. "Today is as bright as ever because the storm has moved away," he added.
Previously, the Indonesian Embassy in Manila issued an appeal to Indonesian citizens not to carry out activities outside their residence, due to hurricane Kammuri that struck the local area.
