Jakarta: President Joko"Jokowi" Widodo and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin have officially announced members of their cabinet.
While sitting leisurely on the steps of the Presidential Palace, President Jokowi introduced the ministers one by one.
"I want to introduce the Indonesian Cabinet which in the next five years will focus on developing human resources, creating jobs, empowering micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs)," Jokowi said at the Presidential Palace Complex, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, October 23, 2019.

Mahfud MD is the new Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs. Jokowi emphasized that Mahfud must guarantee the eradication of corruption, legal certainty, deradicalization, and counterterrorism movements.
"Airlangga Hartarto is Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs. We want to increase synergy between ministries so that we can increase employment opportunities, reduce current account deficit, fix trade balance, and support industrialization," Jokowi explained.
Former Minister of Education and Culture Muhadjir Effendy is the new Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture. He is expected to oversee the acceleration of poverty alleviation, tolerance, and national solidarity.
"Luhut Binsar Panjaitan becomes Coordinating Minister of Maritime and Investment," said Jokowi.
Great Indonesia Movement (Gerindra) Party Chairperson Prabowo Subianto was appointed as Minister of Defense. Jokowi stressed that Prabowo is a defense expert.
Minister of State Secretariat was once again entrusted to Pratikno. "The State Secretariat Ministry guarantees the management of the president's policies," he said.
Former National Police Chief Tito Karnavian was trusted to lead the Ministry of Home Affairs. He must succeed in reforming and cooperating with the local governments.
"Including legal certainty related to investment," he said.
Retno Marsudi was still trusted as Minister of Foreign Affairs. Whereas Fachrul Razi was named Minister of Religion Affairs.
"Affairs relating to radicalism, the economy of the people, the halal industry, especially the pilgrimage, will be controlled by him," he explained.
Yassona Laoly was once again entrusted as Minister of Law and Human Rights. In the meantime, Sri Mulyani Indrawati was retained as Finance Minister.
Go-Jek founder Nadiem Anwar Makarim was entrusted to be Minister of Education and Culture. "We will make a significant breakthrough in human resource development" Jokowi explained.
Terawan Agus Putranto was appointed as the Minister of Health. Jokowi hopes Terawan can tackle public health issues such as stunting.
Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) Juliari Batubara was named as Minister of Social Affairs. In the meantime, National Awakening Party (PKB) politician Ida Fauziah was chosen as Minister of Manpower.
Former Social Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita was asked to lead the Ministry of Industry. "Industrialization, import substitution and technology transfer are all under his domain," he stressed.
The Minister of Trade's seat was entrusted to Agus Suparmanto. On the other hand, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is entrusted to Arifin Tasrif.
"He was once the president of a state-owned company and ambassador to Japan. He was tasked with realization of renewable energy and reduction of oil and gas imports," Jokowi said.
Basuki Hadimuldjono was once again trusted as Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR). Budi Karya Sumadi was also re-elected to his previous position as Minister of Transportation.
Johnny G Plate becomes Minister of Communication and Information. "He will oversee cybercrime, data sovereignty, information technology industry," Jokowi said.
Syahrul Yasin Limpo became minister of agriculture, while Siti Nurbaya Bakar was ordered to lead the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.
Edhy Prabowo leads the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, while Abdul Halim Iskandar was entrusted to become Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration.
Sofjan Djalil is still be the leader of the Ministry of Land and Spatial Planning.
Politician Suharso Monoarfa became the head of the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas). Tjahjo Kumolo was entrusted to lead the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan-RB).
"Erick Thohir became Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN). In charge to develop BUMN and expansion into the global market," he said.
Teten Masduki was picked to lead the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises, While Wishnutama Kusbandio leads the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
"I Gusti Ayu Bintang Darmawanti becomes the Women Empowerment and Child Protection Minister, addressing the problem of child and women's violence," Jokowi said.
Bambang Brodjonegoro was picked to lead the Ministry of Research and Technology, while the Ministry of Youth and Sports is led by Zainuddin Amali.
Moeldoko continues to lead the Presidential Staff Office. Pramono Anung remains the Cabinet Secretary.
Bahlil Lahadalia heads the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), while ST Burhanuddin becomes the Attorney General.
