Jakarta: The government is distributing 100,000 units of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to several regions across Indonesia.
According to National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) spokesperson Agus Wibowo, the distribution of the PPE units is based on priority scale.
"Based on a report received by the Task Force for the Acceleration of Covid-19 Handling, as many as 40 thousand PPE units were distributed to the Jakarta City Hall with escort from the Jakarta Military Command on Sunday night, March 22, 2020," the spokesman said in a press release on Monday, March 23, 2020.

"Then as many as 25 thousand PPE units were flown to Semarang, DI Yogyakarta, Surabaya and Bali today, March 23, 2020 from Bandung," the spokesman stated.
Furthermore, as many as 25 thousand PPE units will distributed to the regions of West Java, Bogor and Banten, while 10 thousand PPE units will be stored as a backup.
For the record, the recipient of the PPE distribution in each region is the Military Regional Military Command as the Coordinator of Regional Covid-19 Task Force.
