One of the controversial isses is the creation of the KPK supervisory board. The body is expected to weaken the anti-corruption watchdog.
"It's not about the members of the supervisory board. The creation of the organization is wrong from the start," he stressed.
According to him, The supervisory board should only be tasked with evaluating the work of the KPK. However, in the revised KPK Law, it is authorized to give permission for wiretapping, search and seizure.
"Surely that cannot be the authority of the supervisory board (Dewas)," said Donal.

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo said the government has pocketed the names of the KPK supervisory board member candidates. However, Jokowi did not want to reveal the names because they are still being studied
"Later in December, we are still discussing it with the internal team, if we have (finished), we will announce it," Jokowi said at JIExpo, Jakarta on Wednesday, November 6, 2019.
