Jakarta: The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has invited President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo to attend this year's International Anti-Corruption Day Event. The anti-corruption watchdog hopes the president can join the event.
"We are still waiting for confirmation. It will be answered soon. We hope for his attendance," KPK chairman Agus Rahardjo said here on Friday, December 6, 2019.
Agus said KPK plans to report about the implementation of Jaga application to President Jokowi. He explained that the public service monitoring application was launched in 2017 by the president
Besides President Jokowi, KPK has also invited members of the Indonesia Onward Cabinet. In addition, the agency also invited the KPK leadership for the 2019-2024 period.
"After the opening ceremony, we will hold various activities," the KPK leader said.
International Anti-Corruption Day has been observed annually on December 9. It aims to raise public awareness for anti-corruption.
