Jakarta: President Jokowi today inaugurated Commissioner General Listyo Sigit Prabowo as Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) to replace General Idham Azis who is entering retirement.
The inauguration ceremony was held at the State Palace after the President received his second jab of the Sinovac covid-19 vaccine.
"I pledge my loyalty to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia," Listyo took his oath of office.
Last week, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno received Letter of Approval from the House of Representatives (DPR) on the nomination of new Police Chief.
Also on that occasion, the Minister received Letter of Approval for nomination of members of the Board of Supervisors of the Investment Management Institution (LPI).
The House has given approval to Darwin Cyril Noerhadi, Yozua Makes, and Haryanto Sahari to become the members of LPI’s board of supervisors.
