Bandung: Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS) in Bandung has isolated two patients suspected of having symptoms of the coronavirus. The two patients are still under observation by a team of doctors that specializes in infectious diseases.
President Director of RSHS Bandung, Nina Susana Dewi, said the two patients being treated were referrals from the Kawaluyaan and Borromeus Bandung hospitals. Both patients are now being observed in a special infection isolation room, one of them is a Chinese citizen.
"The first patient was HG, a Chinese citizen, 35, working in Bandung, a referral from Cahya Kawaluyaan Hospital and the other one was HA, 24, an Indonesian citizen, from Dago, a referral from Borromeus Hospital," Nina said at RSHS Bandung, Jalan Pasteur, Bandung City on Monday, 27 January 2020.
Nina said, HG was moved from Cahya Kawaluyaan Hospital on Sunday, January 26, 2020 with a diagnosis of experiencing acute upper respiratory infection. The patient also complained of fever and sre throat.
"The patients work in one company. Before being referred to us, the patient complained of fever, sore throat and headache, "she said.
Meanwhile, HA was moved from Borromeus Hospital on Wednesday, January 22, 2020. The patient was unconscious.
"So the results of photos of the lungs, there is a worsening (condition). The patient experienced severe shortness of breath and convulsions until unconscious. The patient is diagnosed with a lower respiratory tract infection," she explained.
