Jakarta: Government spokesperson on matters related to covid-19 Achmad Yurianto today confirmed 703 new covid-19 cases.
"The total number of positive cases is 29,521," the Ministry of Health's director general of disease control and prevention during a virtual press conference at the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) headquarters in East Jakarta on Friday, June 5, 2020.
From Thursday noon until Friday noon, the total number of recovered covid-19 patients increased by 551 people ti 9443 people. Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths rose by 49 people to 1,770 people.
"The current number of persons under monitoring (ODP) is 49,320 people, while the current number of patients under surveillance is 13,592 people," the spokesperson stated.
Head of Covid-19 Handling Task Force Doni Monardo recently announced that the government will announce regions with a yellow status or low-risk of covid-19 threat.
According to Doni, the color zoning based on covid-19 data—high, low, medium— will also be announced so the public can decide when to start their ‘new normal’ activities.
However, he added, those data may vary day by day and can change anytime depending on the new number of covid-19 cases in those regions.
