Jakarta: Indonesia is set to receive raw materials to produce 15 million doses of the Sinovac covid-19 vaccine on Tuesday, according to Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin.
"God willing, we will receive raw materials to produce the Sinovac covid-19 vaccine tomorrow," said the minister here on Monday.
According to the minister, the raw materials will be processed by state pharmaceutical company PT Bio Farma, the country's largest vaccine manufacturer.

In the future, 426 million doses of vaccines will arrive in Indonesia including those from Sinovac, Novavax, AstraZeneca, BioNTech-Pfizer, and COVAX/GAVI.
The Indonesian government plans to launch the covid-19 vaccination program later this week after Sinovac's covid-19 vaccine receives emergency use authorization (eua) from the Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM).
