Muhaimin Examined by KPK

Jakarta: Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin). He will be examined as a witness in an alleged gratification case related to a project at the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) in the 2016 fiscal year.
"The one in question was examined as a witness for the suspect HA (Commissioner and Director of PT Sharleen Raya, Hong Arta John Alfred)," said KPK spokesman Ali Fikri, at the KPK Building, South Jakarta on Wednesday, January 29, 2020.
According to him, in this case, the Anti-Corruption Agency needs information from Cak Imin to explore the case. The General Chairperson of the National Awakening Party (PKB) will also be asked about his relationship with Hong Arta.

In this case, Hong Artha is alleged to have given money to a number of parties related to a roject within the Ministry of PUPR. IDR 10.6 billion was given to the Head of the Maluku and North Maluku National Road Implementation Agency (BPJN) Amran Hi Mustary in 2015.
Former 2014-2019 member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle Faction Damayanti Wisnu Putranti also received IDR 1 billion. In this case, Amran was convicted and sentenced to six years in prison. Meanwhile, Damayanti was jailed for 4 years and five months.
Hong Artha is alleged to have violated Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a or letter b or Article 13 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption (Tipikor) as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) to -1 of the Criminal Code.
