Jakarta: Chairperson of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Zulkifli Hasan confirmed that his party plans to hold a meeting with the NasDem Party.
Nevertheless, Zulkifli did not specify when the meeting would take place.
"Yes, meetings between parties are normal," said Zulkifli at the Parliamentary Complex, Jakarta on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
Zulkifli called the meeting a political gathering. During the meeting, Zulkifli and Chairman of the NasDem Party Surya Paloh will discuss several current issues, including a number of controversial bills.
"The Criminal Code Bill will be discussed. We will also discuss Agrarian Bill and Land Bill," he said.
Zulkifli did not rule out the possibility of discussing the 2020 elections in the meeting. The discussion could also extend to the preparation of the 2024 General Elections.
"2024 is not so far away, there are a lot of things being discussed, as well as the law," said the Deputy Chair of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR).
In addition to NasDem, he said that PAN is planning a meeting with the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP). Zulkifli said PAN will also meet with the Party of Functional Groups (Golkar).
