Boyolali: Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidate Pair Number 01 Joko "Jokowi" Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin Success Team in Boyolali Regency announced provisional calculation results indicating their overwhelming victory in 61 polling stations in eight districts in Boyolali, Central Java.
The day-two preliminary tabulation results following the 2019 presidential election breakthrough conducted by the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Boyolali Regional Campaign Team (TKD), until Thursday at 15:30 WIB, indicated that the Jokowi-Amin pair had garnered 100 percent of the votes in 61 polling stations in 32 villages spanning eight districts in Boyolali.
Chairperson of TKD 01 Jokowi-Ma'ruf Boyolali Paryanto stated that based on the provisional calculation conducted internally by the TKD, the Jokowi-Ma'ruf pair continued to rake in votes, with unanimous victory in 61 polling stations.
"We along with the other volunteers and support parties are able to contribute to Jokowi's support and, especially the PDIP, in Boyolali," he stated.
The number of polling stations reached 3,189, with the number of the permanent voter list reaching 808,469, whereas the internal temporary data results of TKD Boyolali indicated the number of valid votes reaching 673,682; and invalid votes, 15,564, of the total 689,246 votes.
"The results of provisional calculation recorded 579,507 votes, or 86 percent, in favor of Jokowi-Ma'ruf, while Prabowo-Sandi bagged 14 percent, or 94,175 votes," he added.
Indonesia held its first-ever simultaneous general and presidential elections yesterday. Voters elected the president, vice president and members of national and local legislative bodies on the same day.
Based on the official data from the General Elections Commission (KPU), as many as 192 million people were eligible to vote this year. In the meantime, more than 800 thousand polling stations were open across the country.
According to reports, the polling stations were guarded by 270 thousand police officers and 70 thousand military personnel. In addition to that, police and military were assisted by 1.6 million community protection (linmas) officers. (Antara)
