Jakarta: The number of covid-19 inpatients in Kemayoran Athletes Village increased by 93 to 1,911 on Friday morning.
Operated by the central government, towers 6 and 7 of the Kemayoran Athletes Village in Central Jakarta are used to provide inpatient care for covid-19 patients with mild to moderate symptoms.
On the other hand, towers 4 and 5 of the building complex are used to isolate coronavirus patients with no symptoms.
"The number of people at isolation flats increased by 106 to 1,126," said Joint Regional Defense Command I(Kogabwilhan I) Spokesperson Marine Colonel Aris Mudian in a statement on Friday.
To tackle the spread of coronavirus, Indonesian people have been urged to implement strict health protocols such as wearing face masks, regularly washing hands and always maintaining safe distance.
In addition, the Indonesian government has distributed medical supplies, including personal protective equipment (PPE), portable ventilators, pcr test kits, and reagents.
