Jakarta: Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) legislative member candidate Harun Masiku has been urged to turn himself in. Harun is a fugitive after being named a bribery suspect by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
"We urge all citizens to obey the law. He must take responsibility and surrender," said PDI-P Central Executive Board official Djarot Saiful Hidayat at the Parliamentary Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta on Monday, December 13, 2019.
Djarot said that his party did not know Harun's location. He made sure that Harun no longer had anything to do with the party.
"He was automatically dismissed by the party," he said.
The KPK named PDI-P legislative candidate Harun Masiku a suspect in a bribery case involving General Elections Commission (KPU) commissioner Wahyu Setiawan. However, Harun is still at large.
"The KPK asks the suspect HAR (Harun Masiku) to immediately surrender to the KPK," said KPK Deputy Chairman Lili Pintauli Siregar at the KPK Building in South Jakarta on Thursday, January 9, 2020.
