KPU Chairman Arief Budiman Treated at Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital

Jakarta: The General Elections Commission (KPU) chairman Arief Budiman is currently being treated at Gatot Subroto Army Hospital in Central Jakarta after he tested positive covid-19.
 
"He decided to go to Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital this morning," KPU commissioner Evi Novida Ginting Manik told Medcom.id here on Tuesday.
 
The KPU chairman tested positive for coronavirus on September 17. He then underwent self-isolation at his home for several days.
"He wants to recover his health and protect his wife and his children," KPU commissioner Pramono Ubaid Tanthowi told medcom.id by phone.
 
On Tuesday, the National Covid-19 Task Force today confirmed 4,071 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 252,923.
 
Based on data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, from Monday noon to Tuesday noon, the total number of confirmed covid-19 recoveries increased by 3,501 to 184,298 from Monday noon to Tuesday noon.
 
Meanwhile, in the past 24 hours, the covid-19 death toll rose by 160 to 9,837.
