Jakarta: Vice President Jusuf Kalla held a meeting with vice president-elect Ma'ruf Amin at the Vice President's Office in Central Jakarta on Thursday.
"I explained about the roles and responsibilities of vice president. He has a number of plans. I wish him success," Kalla told reporters after the meeting.
Indonesia held a simultaneous general and presidential elections on April 17. Voters elected the president, vice president as well as members of national and local legislative bodies on the same day.
The General Elections Commission (KPU) concluded the vote recapitulation process at the national level on May 21. The agency named incumbent President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo and his running mate Ma'ruf Amin as the winners of this year's presidential race.
The Contistutional Court (MK) announced its ruling on presidential election dispute on June 27. MK judges rejected Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno presidential pair's legal challenge in its entirety.
According to KPU, Jokowi and Ma'ruf gathered 85,607,362 votes or 55.5 percent of the votes. On the other hand, Prabowo and Sandiaga collected 68,650,239 votes or 45.5 percent of the votes.
"I am considering a number of plans. At first, I will study about the roles and responsibilities of vice president. After that, I will announce my plans," Ma'ruf remarked.
