Jakarta: Indonesia's former President and Democratic Party Chairperson Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) will again meet Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Democratic Party politician Ferdinand Hutahaean said the meeting would be held sometime soon.
"Maybe there will be a meeting before the inauguration or after the inauguration," Ferdinand told Medcom.id, Friday, October 11, 2019.
Ferdinand said that the communication between Jokowi and SBY had been going well. The good relations resulted in a meeting that was held at the Merdeka Palace on Thursday, October 10, 2019.
Ferdinand suspected that this closeness would continue to be maintained by the two figures. So that the declaration of support can be delivered in the near future. Ferdinand explains there is a big possibility that there will be a kind of declaration meeting.
The Democratic Party accepts the final decision of the elected president. Ferdinand insisted his party unconditionally supports the Jokowi-Ma'ruf elected presidency.
The meeting between Jokowi and SBY was described as warm. The President mentioned the coalition during the meeting. "We talked about it but it has not yet come to a decision," Jokowi said at the Merdeka Palace, Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Thursday, October 10, 2019.
Jokowi revealed that SBY provided input on government programs for the second period. Including, how to anticipate a slowdown in the world economy.
