Monas Area Emptied after Explosion

Jakarta: The explosion occurred at the National Monument (Monas) Square on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, morning. This explosion caused several injuries.
The Monas area was heavily guarded after the incident. The mass media was prohibited from approaching the scene of the explosion.
The Monas area has also been empty of visitors. They have been urged to leave the Monas area.

"I entered around seven o'clock. No one directed me out. But because it was empty, I also left," said one visitor who was reluctant to reveal his name around 8:40 Western Indonesian Time (WIB).
The explosion occurred in the park of the Monas area, Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara, Central Jakarta. Police are still identifying the cause of the explosion.
