Indonesia Reports 4,617 New Coronavirus Cases

Jakarta: Indonesia's Covid-19 Handling Task Force on Monday reported 4,617 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country to 538,883.
 
From Sunday noon to Monday noon, the total number of recovered coronavirus patients across Indonesia was up by 4.725 to 450.518.
 
In the same period, the country's official covid-19 death toll rose by 130 to 16,945.
On Monday morning, the number of covid-19 inpatients in the Athletes Village Emergency Hospital, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta increase by 30 to 2,296.
 
Operated by the central govenrment, towers 6 and 7 of the Kemayoran Athletes Village are used to accommodate covid-19 patients with mild to moderate symptoms.
 
Meanwhile, towers 4 and 5 of the building complex are used as self-isolation flats for asymptomatic coronavirus patients.
