Jakarta: Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) Secretary-General Hasto Kristiyanto believes that the new cabinet will not be announced on the inauguration day.
According to the PDIP politician, the announcement will be made a few days after the inauguration.
"The information will be given on Wednesday at the latest," Hasto said in a written statement released on Friday, October 18, 2019.
According to LAw No. 39/2008 concerning the Establishment of the Ministries, the president has 14 days after his inauguration to announce his cabinet.
"The President has enough time but we know his character, he likes to work fast," Hasto said.
Despite handing over the decision to Jokowi, Hasto reminded the President to consider several matters. For example, track record, ability to lead and work together, and integrity.
"There should be no minister after being sworn in who suddenly wishes to run for president in 2024. All must be loyal in the next five years," Hasto said.
