Jakarta: The Jakarta Health Agency today announced 1,824 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Indonesia's capital to 192,899.
Meanwhile, the number of active cases in Jakarta increased by 706 to 15,376 today.
"15,376 are being treated or undergoing self-isolation," said the Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Control and Prevention Dwi Oktavia here on Tuesday.
According to the Agency, the province recently received 39.200 doses of the Sinovac Biotech covid-19 vaccine and will receive 80,850 doses on January 7.
In total, Jakarta will get 120,050 doses of the Sinovac Biotech covid-19 vaccine this week.
The Indonesian government plans to launch its covid-19 vaccination program this month. The first group to be vaccinated is medical staff in the upcoming one to three months. There are 1.3 millions of medical staff in 34 provinces who serve as the frontier in fighting against covid-19 pandemic.
