Jakarta : Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan has said that the government will increase testing and tracing in densely populated areas in the next few days
"We will finalize the plans on testing and tracing in densely populated areas, in agglomerated regions such as Jabodetabek, Bandung, Surabaya, Solo, Semarang, Malang, and those who are found to be positive will be quarantined," said Luhut in a virtual press conference here on Wednesday.
According to Luhut, mass testing and tracing could break the chain of
covid-19 transmission. Moreover, the spread of the Delta variant could also be minimized.
“In quarantine centres there are medications, doctors, etc," said
He hopes that the mass testing and tracing can be carried out within a day or two. Other than that, he said, vaccination will also be increased.
"So I ask all of us to realize the importance of being vaccinated," he stated firmly.
