Jakarta: Bank Indonesia (BI) today announced its decision to maintain the BI 7-Day Reverse Repo Rate at 4.00 percent.
In addition, the central bank also maintained its Deposit Facility rate Lending Facility interest rate at 3.25 percent and 4.75 percent, respectively.
"This decision takes into account the need to maintain the stability of the rupiah exchange rate, amidst inflation which is predicted to remain low," BI Governor Perry Warjiyo said during a virtual press conference here on Thursday.
According to the BI governor, BI will continue to take the necessary to support the National Economic Recovery program by continuously observing the dynamics of the global economy and global financial market as well as the spread of covid-19 and its impact on Indonesia's economic outlook.
"Strong policy coordination with the Government and the Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK) will continue to be strengthened to maintain macroeconomic and financial system stability, as well as accelerate national economic recovery," he stated.
