Govt is Committed to Lowering Oil and Gas Prices

Jakarta: The government is committed to reducing the prices of oil and gas. The reason is because oil and gas are the main pillars for the domestic industry.
"It has been the desire of the President (Jokowi) that the prices of gas must be lowered," said Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta on Tuesday, January 14, 2020.
Moeldoko has discussed with PT Pertamina (Persero) President Commissioner Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok. Both agreed to improve management at Pertamina.

"We agreed with him (Ahok) to let us collaborate so that everything will be well managed," he explained.
Ahok said that Moeldoko fully supports Pertamina's policies. This, he said, is so President Jokowi’s goals in the oil and gas sector will be achieved.
Ahok did not say much about Pertamina's strategy to reduce oil and gas prices. He claimed Pertamina had formulated a plan regarding this matter.
"We already have the formula, then we will ask the CEO, I'm just the Commissioner," said Ahok.
