Jakarta: Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati has inaugurated Suryo Utomo as Director-General of Taxes. Suryo will replace Robert Pakpahan who retired this month.
"Today, I, the Minister of Finance officially inaugurate my colleagues," Sri Mulyani said during the inauguration at the Ministry of Finance, Central Jakarta on Friday, November 1, 2019.
Suryo’s previous position was as a Tax Compliance Specialist at the Minister of Finance. Suryo has been an official in the Directorate General of Taxes since 1993.
Sri Mulyani added that Suryo's new responsibilities will not be easy. For this reason, she hopes that Suryo can carry out his duties well as director-general of taxes.
In addition to the director-general of taxes, Sri Mulyani also installed 10 people at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, four people at the Indonesia National Single Window Institution (INSW), and two directors at the Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP).
"I believe that you will carry out your duties to the best of your abilities. May God be with us," Sri Mulyani said.
