Jakarta: Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati will coordinate with SOE Minister Erick Thohir regarding as number of troubled state-owned companies. After PT Asuransi Jiwasraya, there are now allegations of corruption in the PT Asuransi Sosial Angkatan Bersenjata Republik Indonesia (Asabri).
"If it is about (Jiwasraya and ASABRI), we will make a joint statement with Pak Erick later," Sri Mulyani said at the Supreme Court Building, Central Jakarta on Monday, January 13, 2020.
Sri Mulyani was reluctant to reveal further information about the insurance SOEs that were in trouble. She wants to meet with the Ministtry of SOEs first so that this problem can be resolved properly.
Regarding Jiwasraya, Sri Mulyani said the Ministry of SOEs has prepared restructuring steps. According to the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK), Jiwasraya needs funds of IDR 32.89 trillion to reach a Risk Based Capital (RBC) ratio of at least 120 percent.
"There was a statement from Pak Erick," Sri Mulyani continued.
